Anti-wrinkle Treatment

Anti-wrinkle treatments block specific chemical signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract. The most common use of these applications is to relax the facial muscles that cause frown lines and other facial wrinkles.
Anti-wrinkle treatments are also used to ease symptoms of some health conditions. It’s not a cure.

Examples of medical conditions that might be treated with Anti-wrinkle treatments at Collingham Dental Care include:

• Sweating: Anti-wrinkle treatments might be used for excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis, in which people sweat a lot even when they’re not hot or working up a sweat.
• Migraine: Anti-wrinkle treatments may help reduce how often you get a migraine. This treatment is used mainly for people with headaches 15 or more days a month. When you get severe headaches, the condition is usually called chronic migraine. Treatment is needed about every three months to retain the benefit.
• Anti-wrinkle treatments: for the muscles of mastication. Anti-wrinkle treatments temporarily weaken the muscles used for chewing, primarily the masseter muscles. This can be used to treat conditions like teeth grinding (bruxism), jaw pain, and facial asymmetry caused by muscle hypertrophy, often done for cosmetic reasons to slim the jawline.
